Be aware- heavy rain likely in Dehradun and four other districts today

Various parts of the State witnessed light to moderate rain on Thursday. However, there is a possibility of the weather changing yet again on Friday with the State Meteorological Centre issuing a yellow warning (be aware) regarding the possibility of heavy rain likely to occur at isolated places in Dehradun, Pauri, Bageshwar, Nainital and Champawat districts today. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning/intense to very intense spells of rain are likely to occur at isolated places in all districts of the State. Apart from this, light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in all districts of the State today.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a partly to generally cloudy sky. One or two spells of light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur, which may be intense in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 31 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
Meanwhile, light to moderate rain was witnessed in various parts of the State on Thursday with 46.5 millimetres in Berinag, 42.5 millimetres in Bazpur, 32 millimetres in Gadarpur, 30 millimetres in Didihat, 22 millimetres in Devprayag, 18 millimetres in Jageshwar, 16 millimetres in Narendranagar, 12.2 millimetres in Pantnagar and 2.1 millimetres in Dehradun.
