Uttarkashi police arrested the main accused of the theft case involving an under-construction building and recovered the stolen goods from his possession. Notably, machinery and materials used in construction works were stolen. A case was registered at Kotwali Uttarkashi on July 21. The police arrested one of the accused within 24 hours since the occurrence of the theft. However, the main accused had been absconding since the theft.
Formed under the supervision of the deputy superintendent of police, Uttarkashi, the police team, led by the Kotwali in-charge Dinesh Kumar, arrested the main accused identified as Amit Kumar (36).
