In a significant development, a successful trial of a Sea-plane landing was held at Pashulok Barrage in Rishikesh on Monday. The Sea Plane took off from the Dehradun airport Jollygrant and landed at the barrage at 6 PM.
The landing of the Sea Plane was held under the monitoring of the experts of the UJVNL and officers of the State administration.
The successful trail of Sea Plane landing is expected to give a boost to tourism activities in the State. Apart from giving fillip to tourism, the Sea Plane will also help in disaster relief and rescue operations.
