CM hits ground zero, meets the helpline complainant

PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun
Chief minister surprised the senior officers of the State administration and the general public by conducting an unplanned visit to the site about which a complaint was registered on the CM Helpline 1905. The CM was scheduled to hold a review meeting of the helpline in the morning but instead of attending the meeting, the CM went straight to meet Vivek Madan, a resident of Jakhan, Dehradun. Madan had filed a complaint on the helpline regarding damage to the footpath caused by the undergrounding of power cables on the Rajpur Road. The complainant said that a sidewalk was initially constructed along the road in Jakhan, but later, the UPCL dug up the footpath and laid the underground power lines. However, the soil filling was not done properly due to which the footpath subsided. The CM went to the site where the footpath had subsided due to careless and poor quality work and made a video call to the officers from the spot. On a stern note, the CM directed the officers to restore the footpath and asked them to work with planning.
