To make dairy producers more aware, committed and self-reliant, Nainital Dugdh Utpadak Sahakari Sangh Limited (NDUSSL) organised a conclave in Lalkuan on Saturday presided over by the union president Mukesh Bora. More than 300 dairy producers representing seven milk cooperative societies of the region participated.

Addressing the gathering, Bora said that under the guidance of the State Dairy Development minister, Saurabh Bahuguna, Uttarakhand government is fully committed to protecting the interests of dairy farmers. He briefed the producers about various government welfare schemes and encouraged them to take maximum advantage of these initiatives to strengthen their economic condition. “The union’s objective extends beyond increasing milk production and focuses on making every dairy producer financially empowered and self-reliant,” he said, adding that the suggestions presented by the producers during the conclave would be acted upon soon.

A total of 80 dairy producers were felicitated at the conclave for outstanding milk procurement.  Among others present was the general manager of the union, Anurag Sharma.
