The arrival of Urmila Sanawar, the estranged wife of former BJP MLA Suresh Rathore in Dehradun on late Tuesday night has made the authorities and Police vigilant. After her arrival in Dehradun, Sanawar told some media persons that she had come to the city with evidence in the Ankita Bhandari murder case. The police, however, have not officially interrogated her yet.
In Dehradun, Urmila was accompanied by Swami Darshan Bharti who claimed that the police had started her interrogation.
However, contradicting Bharti, the inspector general (IG) Crime and Law and Order, Sunil Kumar Meena told media persons on Wednesday afternoon that information has been received that she is in Dehradun but no interrogation has started yet. As soon as she comes in contact with the SIT, further legal action will be taken as per the rules, he added.
Interacting with some journalists, Bharti said that a narco test of both — Urmila and her estranged husband Suresh Rathore -should be conducted so that the truth on the murder of Ankita Bhandari and involvement of VIP emerges out. He also said that if Urmila is also found lying, she should be punished as well. Bharti also claimed that there is an old animosity between national general secretary of BJP Dushyant Gautam and Rathore.
Meanwhile, interacting with some journalists on her arrival in Dehradun, Urmila claimed that she had come to Dehradun with evidence related to the Ankita Bhandari murder case. Pertinently, four cases have already been registered against Urmila Sanawar and Suresh Rathore. These include allegations related to making audios viral on social media.
Meanwhile, a new audio of Urmila and Rathore went viral on social media on Wednesday. In the audio, it has come to light that Rathore asked Urmila to deliberately take the name of Dushyant Gautam in the Ankita case.
