PIONEER NEWS SERVICE/Ramnagar

The Uttarakhand Vidyalayi Shiksha Parishad (UVSP) will organise the result improvement examination for X and XII classes from August 4 to 11. Notably, the board examination results for 2025 were announced on April 19. Considering the performance of the students, the UVSP is offering an opportunity for those who did not do well during the examination to improve their marks. The registration period for the improvement examination concluded recently. It’s important to note that earlier the UVSP secretary Vinod Simalti had stated that this examination is available to students from both 2025 and 2024. The UVSP allows students three chances to retake the exam for better results. Specifically, students from 2024 will be participating for the third time this year, while those from 2025 will be taking it for the first time.

Further, in an update regarding the current situation, Simalti said that a meeting was held at the UVSP office here on Friday. During this meeting, it was stated that the improvement examinations for X and XII classes for the specified academic year will take place from August 4 to 11. He said that these exams will consist of both written and theoretical components.

It will be recalled that Simalti previously stated a total of 8,405 class X students, including those from the 2024 and 2025 batches, have registered for the examinations. Similarly, 10,711 students from class XII have signed up, representing both academic years.  Apart from this, earlier, the district administrations have been tasked with identifying suitable locations for establishing examination centres where the improvement exams can be conducted, he informed.
