The vice- chancellor of Kumaun University, Diwan Singh Rawat released the second issue of the annual magazine Diksha at the department of Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) of the university. Among those present on this occasion were the dean, Education, Atul Joshi; department head, Ashok Uprety and chief editor of the magazine, Pushpa Adhikari.
Notably, the second issue of the annual magazine is dedicated to 25 years of Uttarakhand’s statehood. The articles written by teachers and students deal with the historical and cultural aspects of Uttarakhand, including traditional festivals, historical personalities and historical perspectives.
The VC assured that ITEP department would be shifted to a newly constructed building equipped with laboratories and basic facilities by the year 2026.
