The chief spokesperson of Uttarakhand Congress Garima Dasauni has said the Vote Chor Gaddi Chodd rally of the Congress party held at Ramlila Ground in New Delhi on Sunday was a huge success. Interacting with the media persons at the headquarters of the State unit of the party on Monday, Dasauni said that huge attendance in the rally shows that the people of the country are now fed up with the anti-people policies and false promises of the government.
Reacting to the statement of the State BJP president Mahendra Bhatt in which he said that the Congress party’s Delhi rally was a failure, Dasauni claimed that there were three times more people on the roads outside Ramlila Ground which was jam packed. She said that the Congress party workers from all parts of the country attended the rally in huge numbers on the call given by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and leader of opposition (LoP) in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi.
Dasauni claimed that about 19,000 people attended the rally from Uttarakhand under the leadership of Pradesh Congress Committee (PPC) president Ganesh Godiyal. Apart from the Congress workers, the general public also attended the rally, she claimed. Dasauni said that the election commission of India is working hand in glove with the BJP government.
Dasauni said that in the last many elections the ruling party has misused constitutional bodies, central agencies and the election commission. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has exposed the electoral frauds with proofs in front of the people of the country and has highlighted the voids in the election process in the country. The people now want transparency in the election process.
