District Bar Association members sworn in

All the newly elected office bearers of the newly elected District Bar Association were sworn in on Friday in the District Court. The Nainital-Udham Singh Nagar MP and former Union Minister,  Ajay Bhatt and the Nainital municipal council president,  Saraswati Khetwal were present. The District and Sessions Judge Prashant Joshi administered the oath of office and secrecy to the president Arun Singh Bisht, secretary Sanjay Suyal, vice-president Kamal Chilwal and joint secretary Neeraj Goswami. Besides,  advocates Tara Arya, Prema Arya, Nirmal Kumar and Mohammad Bilal were sworn in as other office bearers of the bar association.

Bhatt said that he is a life member of the Nainital Bar Association. “We will try our best to take the lawyers’ problems to the appropriate levels so that they are addressed and resolved at the earliest,” he added.  

During the oath ceremony, an amount of Rs five lakh was announced for the construction of a bar auditorium.

During this programme, ADJ Sanjeev Kumar, ADJ Kuldeep Sharma, ACJM Ravi Ranjan, CGM Ravi Prakash, Senior Judge Civil Division Harsh Yadav and Civil Judge Junior Division Urvashi Rawat were present.
