A fire broke out at a perfume manufacturing factory in the Selaqui industrial area on Sunday. The incident took place at Jai Shri Balaji Industries, creating panic in the surrounding area. As soon as the information was received, the Fire Service and police were informed. Fire Service teams reached the spot and started efforts to control the fire. Large flames and thick smoke could be seen rising from the factory, causing fear among workers and nearby people. The area witnessed chaos for some time as the fire spread inside the factory.
Officials said such incidents often happen due to electrical short circuits or sparking. No casualties were reported till the last update. Fire fighters continued operations to bring the blaze under control and prevent it from spreading further.
The Fire Service has once again appealed to factory owners and the public to follow fire safety rules strictly. Despite repeated warnings, negligence can lead to serious losses, officials said.
