UJVN Limited creates new record in power generation

The UJVN Limited generated 114.485 million units (MU) of electricity in the month of October from its 240 MW Chibro hydro power plant project making it the highest power generation of this project since the establishment of the Uttarakhand. The managing director (MD) of UJVN Ltd, Sandeep Singhal said that the corporation also generated 53.661 MU from its 120 MW Khodri hydro power plant project in October which is the highest power generation since its inception. He said that the last record of highest power generation under this project was registered in October 1989 which was 53.21 MU. Singhal said that last month was quite beneficial for the corporation in terms of power generation. He said that the corporation generated 114.485 MU of electricity against its power generation target of 75 MU under the Chibro power plant project which is set up on the Tons River in Dehradun district near the border of Himachal Pradesh. The corporation also generated 53.661 MU of electricity against its target of 35 MU under the Khodri hydro power plant project. Similarly, Singhal said, the corporation also performed well in several other power plant projects in terms of power generation. The corporation generated 19.801 MU against its monthly target of 14 MU from 33.75 MW Dhakrani project and 26.461 MW against 17 MW from the 51 MW Dhalipur project besides in over eight other power projects. Singhal said all the projects of the corporation have generated 570.542 MU against the target of 458.574 MU in October which is 111.967 MU more than the monthly target.
