International borders sealed for April 19 polling

In latest news from Doon, the international borders within the Uttarakhand territory have been sealed ahead of the April 19 polling. The districts which have international borders are Udham Singh Nagar, Champawat and Pithoragarh. Besides, the officers and employees assigned with poll duty have left for their respective polling stations with the polling materials three days ahead of polling.
Announcing this, the additional chief electoral officer Vijay Kumar Jogdande said that a total of 1729 polling booths have set up for the polling and polling would be held from 7 am to 5 pm on April 19. He further said that intense surveillance operation is being conducted along the borders and the inter-state checkposts.
