Kangura to be developed for religious tourism: Dhami

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Kangura Nagraj temple in Tehri district and participated in the restoration ceremony of Shri Kangura Nagraj temple on Friday. Dhami also offered prayers at the temple for happiness and prosperity in the State. He also planted a sapling in the temple premises on the occasion. Greeting the devotees on the Pran Pratishtha in the restored temple, he announced that steps will be taken to develop Kangura for religious tourism. The district administration will submit a detailed project report of works worth Rs two crore and the same will be approved soon, he said. Dhami also said that the area will be developed according to a masterplan. He also announced that a modern guest house, 30,000 litre capacity drinking water storage tank, tin shed on the access route to the temple complex, high mast light and other developments will be facilitated in the temple area. The CM also spoke about the various works being undertaken for development in the State.

A letter listing demands related to the development of the area was handed over by the people of the area, responding to which Dhami said that positive action will be taken after checking the demands. He informed the media that the authorities have been directed to prepare a report on the Chham-Baldogi suspension bridge being demanded by the locals.
