In latest news from Doon, two girls were swept away by powerful current of the swollen Ganga when they were trying to save their drowning brother who had got caught in a strong eddy. The incident happened at the Gita Kuthir ghat in Haripur Kalan in Raiwala. Upon being informed, police personnel from Raiwala police station and Hatipur Kalan police post rushed to the site. Later, they were joined by an SDRF team in the searching operation.
A member of the SDRF team said that their operation was going on in full swing but the two girls were yet to be traced.
