Bhadauria directs CMOs to work on war footing for quality health services

National Health Mission (NHM) mission director Swati Bhadauria has directed the chief medical officers (CMOs) of the Health department to work on a war footing for better implementation of quality health services in the State.She was addressing a review meeting of the CMOs at NHM auditorium on Saturday. Bhadauria said that the CMOs should hold regular meetings with the work execution agencies for the monitoring of progress and quality in the construction works going under the project.
The NHM MD said that the Prime Minister Ayushman Bharat Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM) is an ambitious scheme of government of India and directed proper monitoring the Critical Care Block (CCB), district integrated public health lab (DIPHL) and block public health unit (BPHU) projects underway under the scheme.
In the meeting she was informed that processing of screening for sickle cells in eight districts of the State has been completed under the sickle cell eradication programme. Bhadauria directed that the screening should be completed in the remaining five districts within the next 15 days.
She said that the work of ASHAs is very important and directed that their sensitization should be done on priority.
Health director Dr Narendra Sharma, NHM director Manu Jain, CMOs of all districts and other officers attended the meeting.
