A five-day ‘Skill development training programme on fundamentals of Molecular Biology’ commenced at Uttarakhand Science Education and Research Centre (USERC) here on Monday. The programme-being organised jointly by USERC and Taqgene Training & Research Institute (TGTRI)- is meant for 20 students of higher educational institutions of Uttarakhand. It will continue till January 24.
Addressing it, the USERC director Prof Anita Rawat said that this training programme is important for undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as researchers. They would get the opportunity to learn basic scientific information about Molecular Biology as well as experimental research being done in laboratories, she said, adding that this would not just sharpen their skill but heighten their interest in research.
