Dehradun district reported one new case each of Covid-19 and dengue on Friday. Informing about this, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Dehradun Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma said that one local individual tested positive for Covid-19, bringing the cumulative number of confirmed cases in the district to 95. This total includes 80 local residents and 15 migrants. Currently, there is one active Covid-19 case and is receiving treatment at home, he said.
In addition to the Covid-19 case, Sharma also informed that one new positive case of dengue was also reported on Friday, which has been admitted to Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital. This raises the cumulative total of confirmed dengue cases in the district to 175, with 89 cases originating from Dehradun and 86 from other districts or States.
At present, there are 15 active dengue patients receiving treatment: 10 at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, three at Himalayan Hospital, one at Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital and one at home.
