A 22-year-old male was found dead in his room in the Sewla Kalan area of Chandrabani here on Saturday. It is suspected that Swapnil, died by suicide in his room. He was the son of a police constable who is currently posted in Tehri district. The young man was preparing for the JE competitive examination.
As per information provided by officials, when the family members entered the room, they found him hanging. The sight left the family in deep shock. On receiving information, Patel Nagar police reached the spot and took the body into custody.
The body was sent for post-mortem examination. According to the police, initial investigations revealed that the reason behind the suicide could be a love affair. The police are investigating the matter further to ascertain the exact cause of the suicide.
