Dehradun police organised an awareness programme for school students in the Sahaspur area on Tuesday. The program was held at an NSS camp at primary school Sabhawala and was conducted on the instruction of the senior superintendent of police, Dehradun.
During the programme, police officials educated students about the harmful effects of drug addiction and ways to stay safe from cyber crimes. The students were told how drug abuse can destroy their future and push young people towards crime.
The police also shared tips on cyber safety. Students were advised not to attend unknown calls, avoid clicking on suspicious links, never share OTPs, and not to post personal information on social media. Officials explained that carelessness online can lead to serious cyber crimes.
The programme also focused on building discipline, social responsibility and positive thinking among students. At the end of the programme, students took a pledge to help create a drug-free and cyber-safe society.
