The spokesperson of BJP and Rajpur MLA Khajan Dass has accused the Congress party of spreading rumours on the distribution of LPG cooking gas in the State.
He said that the propaganda of the opposition has got completely exposed after the arrival of ships from the gulf and return of normal situation in the gas agencies.
Responding to the questions of the media on Wednesday, the BJP leader said that the State government has adopted a transparent policy on availability of LPG and petroleum products. He claimed that the country has a reserve stock of 90 days which has not been used till date. “The consignments from Iran have started arriving in the country and there is no problem whatsoever in the supplies of LPG and PNG in the country,’’ he said.
Dass added that the government has increased the internal production of LPG cylinders by 30 per cent. The LPG carriers Shivalik and Nanda Devi have arrived in the country and more vessels will dock soon, he said.
