Two youths rescued the children, but the woman drowned in the canal. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) recovered her body on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as 28-year-old Kiran Chandel, wife of Dheeraj Chandel, a resident of Mandi Chowk in Vikasnagar.
