Surprise inspection: Tehri DM pulls up departments over poor cleanliness

The district magistrate, Nitika Khandelwal conducted a surprise inspection of multiple departmental offices on Tuesday, including the Health, Labour, Supply and Uttarakhand Forest Development Corporation, among others.  During this inspection, deficiencies related to cleanliness, record maintenance, buildings, and basic amenities were revealed in many offices, prompting her to  order immediate improvement.  

While inspecting the drug store, she observed the storage status of medicines and other supplies.
The attendance register of employees at the Uttarakhand Forest Development Corporation office was inspected. During the inspection of the Supply department, she inspected work related to ration cards, employee attendance registers and various files.

During an inspection of Irrigation division I, she was informed about the problem of dampness and leaking water in the office building. During the inspection of the Labour department, she directed deployment of two Home Guard personnel to improve the security and arrangements of the office.

The DM instructed all the department heads to ensure timely attendance of employees, systematic maintenance of records and solution of problems related to electricity, drinking water, lighting and building on priority basis aside from stressing on cleanliness in the office premises.
