3 booked for using fake documents to obtain freedom fighter dependent certificates

The Raipur police have registered a case against three women for allegedly using false documents to apply for certificates meant for dependents of freedom fighters. The case was registered after a verification found that the documents and addresses submitted in the applications were incorrect.
As per the FIR registered on September 13, the accused have been identified as Khushi, Pari and Swati, all residents of Rajiv Nagar, Tarli Kandoli. They had reportedly applied online through a government portal under Tehsil Sadar, Dehradun, to obtain the certificates.
The complaint stated that affidavits and other documents attached to the applications were found to be false during verification. Officials also conducted a local inspection and allegedly found that the applicants were not living at the addresses mentioned in the documents.
The complaint was submitted by Jagdish Kumar Rawat, a resident of Kandoli, through the revenue officials concerned. He requested police action against those allegedly involved in preparing and submitting false documents to obtain the certificates.
The Raipur police registered the FIR under sections 318(4), 336(2), 338 and 340(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and started an investigation in the case.
