In protest against what it termed misuse of the central agencies to harass the leaders of the opposition, the Uttarakhand Congress staged a Dharna outside the office of Enforcement Directorate (ED) here on Monday. The protest was part of the countrywide agitation of the Congress party on the issue.
Speaking on the occasion, the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara said that the Indian National Congress has been the voice of every citizen of the country for the last 136 years. He said that as a part of the conspiracy the government intends to harass the opposition leaders using central agencies as its tools. Arya said that the Congress leaders would oppose the conspiracy of the government both inside the assembly and outside it. Former PCC president Pritam Singh said that ED has started action on the former president of Congress party Rahul Gandhi on the indication of Modi government.
