The Bharatiya Janata Party has accused the Congress of spreading lies on various issues. Stating that the lies of the party have been exposed, the BJP State president and Rajya Sabha member Mahendra Bhatt said that the public will give a befitting reply to the Congress in the 2027 Vidhan Sabha election.
Expressing concern at the son of a Congress MLA recently conspiring to get himself attacked, Bhatt strongly criticised the incident. He said that Congress leaders had been vying to make statements to gain political attention during the past few days. The Congress was staging protests without any investigation or facts to support its allegations. “The government repeatedly requested that the political atmosphere should not be spoiled, adding that the guilty will be caught soon. However, the opposition leaders ignored this and are now silent after the truth of the case has come to light. None of the Congress leaders came forward to acknowledge their error and those who did, did so to hide their embarrassment,” Bhatt said while questioning who would have been responsible if the atmosphere had been spoiled due to the irresponsible actions of Congress leaders.
He further alleged that the Congress claims to run a “Mohabbat ki Dukan” but peddles hate and lies. As in other parts of India, there is a long list of lies and confusion spread by the Congress in Uttarakhand. Earlier, the Congress has used an unverified audio recording to create doubts in the Ankita Bhandari case. However, the government recommending a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation with the consent of the family and those in the audio-video coming out to give statements has caused an expose, Bhatt said. Stating that there are numerous cases in which the lies of the Congress have been exposed, he said that it is unfortunate that the Congress is putting the State’s atmosphere, harmony, religious places and traditions on stake due to its hatred for the BJP.
