Employee federation demand solution of Golden Card issues

The president of the State Employees Joint Federation, Arun Pandey has said that the empanelled hospitals are refusing cashless treatment under the Golden Card scheme due to which the employees and the pensioners are facing difficulties. He said that a delegation of the federation met the chief secretary Anand Bardhan and secretary to the chief minister, Shailesh Bagauli on Tuesday and discussed the issue of Golden Card and the delay in the medical reimbursement claims of the employees.
Pandey said the Federation is of the opinion the operation of the State Government Health Scheme (SGHS) popularly called Golden Card scheme on the basis of contribution from the employees is impractical. He said that the government should make arrangements for the budget for the scheme as practiced earlier. Pandey said that the employees also demand cashless OPD services and transparency in payment under the scheme.
The Federation requested the CS that a high level meeting on the issue should be soon convened on the issue. Pandey said that the principal secretary of Finance, Personnel secretary, Health secretary, director general of Health Services and senior officers of the State Health Authority (SHA) should attend the meeting and find a permanent solution to the problem.
