Ajay Kumar Singh assumed charge as the officiating managing director of UJVN Limited. He previously served as the executive director of UJVNL. He was appointed the executive engineer at UJVNL in 2005. Subsequently, he held various positions and became general manager in 2022.
Singh stated that his priority is to complete and energize new projects on time, as well as increase power generation capacity by completing RMU works and solar energy projects on time, adding that they would develop new energy sources such as green hydrogen, battery energy storage systems, nuclear energy, pumped storage plants, small hydropower projects, and geothermal energy, ensuring Uttarakhand becomes self-reliant in the energy sector in the future.
