DM conducts surprise inspection of collectorate offices

The Dehradun district magistrate Ashish Chauhan conducted a surprise inspection of various offices, the record room and the disaster operation centre located in the collectorate premises on Tuesday. He instructed officials and employees to deal with people in a sensitive manner and ensure timely disposal of complaints and applications.
The DM directed departments to maintain files and important records properly so that documents are easily available whenever needed. He also asked officials to regularly review pending cases and avoid unnecessary delays in work. During the inspection of the record room, he stressed on the need for proper maintenance and digitisation of records for better management.
Stating that clean and organised offices help improve work culture, Chauhan directed officials to ensure regular cleaning and proper arrangements in all office premises. He also interacted with staff members and said that public service should remain the top priority of every government employee.Chauhan also reviewed preparations for the monsoon season. He took information about landslide prone areas, heavy rainfall affected regions and remote villages in the district.
