Four Covid-19 & three more dengue cases reported in Dehradun

Four new cases of Covid-19 and three new cases of dengue were reported in Dehradun district on Thursday. The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Dehradun, Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma said that out of the four dengue cases, two were local residents and two were migrants. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the district to 74, comprising 60 local residents and 14 migrants. Currently, there are six active Covid-19 cases, with one patient receiving treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh, one at Kailash Hospital and four others being treated at home.
Further, Sharma informed that three additional dengue cases were reported on Thursday, with two patients admitted to Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital and one at Graphic Era Hospital. This increases the cumulative number of confirmed dengue cases in the district to 141, with 74 cases originating from Dehradun and 67 from other districts or States.
Currently, there are 18 active dengue patients receiving treatment: 11 at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, three at Himalayan Hospital, two at Graphic Era Hospital and two receiving care at home.
Apart from this, on Thursday, Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) and health department volunteers conducted 10,376 household surveys to check for mosquito larvae. Among those surveys, 74 homes were found to have larvae. Additionally, ASHA workers and volunteers examined 84,167 containers, discovering that 92 of them contained larvae on Thursday.
