Dehradun DLSA ranks first in U’khand

The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) of Dehradun has been ranked first in the State based on the evaluation and overall performance assessment conducted by the State Legal Services Authority of Uttarakhand for the year 2025. On Constitution Day observed on November 26, the Dehradun DLSA was awarded the “Best DLSA of the State” trophy by chief justice of Uttarakhand, G Narendar in a ceremony held at the Uttarakhand High Court.
This recognition reflects the effective functioning of DLSA Dehradun, extensive public participation, timely services and a strong commitment to ensuring equal access to justice.
Commenting about this, secretary of DLSA Seema Dungrakoti said that the State Legal Services Authority conducted a thorough evaluation of the work completed by all districts throughout the year, with Dehradun emerging as the best performer. This achievement is a source of pride for Dehradun district, attributed to the capable leadership of the district judge and the continuous hard work of the dedicated DLSA team.
Dungrakoti highlighted the major achievements of Dehradun DLSA over the past year, which include organising around 3,000 awareness camps across the district, benefiting more than 200,000 citizens directly. Additionally, the DLSA provided free legal aid to approximately 1,500 needy individuals throughout the year and Dehradun’s performance in National Lok Adalats has been excellent within the State. The department also hosted regular blood donation camps, assisting poor and vulnerable patients through blood coupons and among other achievements.
“The first rank secured by Dehradun DLSA at the State level is not only an achievement for the institution itself but also for the entire judicial system of the Dehradun district, reflecting effective administrative cooperation, community participation and the ongoing efforts of the DLSA team,” she added.
