Four players from Dehradun Football Academy (DFA) have been selected for the final national round of India Khelo Football, DFA president and head coach Virendra Singh Rawat said on Tuesday.

Rawat said DFA is the only AIFF- and State Association–recognised football academy in Uttarakhand and has been training players for the past 15 years. He added that state-level trials were held at the DFA ground on October 5, where 17 players were shortlisted from 265 participants across Under-13, Under-15 and Under-17 categories.

The North Zone national trials were held in Delhi on December 6 and 7, with around 350 players participating. After the trials, four players were selected—Tarun (Under-15, Forward), and Under-17 players Priyanshu Rawat (Goalkeeper), Priyanshu Joshi (Forward), and Aman Farshwan (Defender).

The final selection round will be held on January 23, 2026, at Cooperage Football Stadium, Mumbai, where selectors from I-League, ISL, Indian team academies and international clubs will scout players. DFA felicitated the selected players in the presence of coaches, officials and parents.

Aman Pharshwan, one of the selected players, stated that their immediate goal is to perform well at the national level, bring glory to the country, and secure a spot in a professional club with a full scholarship.
