On DM’s instruction, officers visiting disaster-affected, door to door

Following the district magistrate Savin Bansal’s directive, the sub-divisional magistrate, Sadar, Hari Giri is meeting with the people affected by the recent rain-induced disaster and inquiring about their well-being. He has also visited several camps where the affected people have been staying.
Notably, the Sadar area is the most affected by the disaster. Financial assistance to the tune of Rs 1.21 crore has been distributed so far following surveys of the damage. All the senior officers of the district have remained stationed in the disaster- affected areas since the day one.
During his visit to the remote areas of Phulait and Chhamroli, the DM had deployed officers and employees from other departments, including a special Tehsildar, for swift damage assessment and relief distribution.
