Pariksha Pe Charcha not an event but a national movement: CM Dhami

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the examinations are an opportunity for the students to give their best and like warriors they participate in them with complete confidence, patience and calmness. He was interacting with the students during the Pariksha Pe Charcha programme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at St Agnes School, Nashvilla road here on Friday.

He said that today the entire country is connected to the ninth edition of the Prime Minister’s “Pariksha Pe Charcha programme and this event is no longer just a dialogue, but has become a national movement. He said that the PM’s message teaches us that examination may be a part of life, but not the life itself. Sharing his school experiences, the CM said that school time is precious and never returns. Therefore, students should regularly participate in sports and other extracurricular activities along with their studies. 

The CM urged students to set goals and prioritize their priorities, remain free from examination pressure and achieve success with a positive mind-set. He also requested parents not to put unnecessary pressure on their children or compare them to others. 

Pertinently, more than four crore students, teachers and parents across the country have registered for Pariksha Pe Charcha- 2026, breaking the previous world record. This year about 700,000 students, 53,000 teachers and more than 14,000 parents from Uttarakhand participated in the programme.  Rohan Singh Rana, a student of Government Higher Secondary School, Pala Kurali of Jakholi block of Rudraprayag district was invited to Delhi for the programme. 

Director general of Education Deepti Singh, director, Secondary Education Mukul Kumar Sati, teachers and students attended the programme.

DEHRADUN: Governor lieutenant general ( retd) Gurmit Singh participated in the Pariksha Pe Charcha-2026 programme at Oasis School, Raipur, Dehradun on Friday. He said that the programme not only resolves students’ doubts but also inspires parents and teachers to think positively. He urged students not to view examinations as a burden, but rather to consider them an opportunity to test their knowledge and abilities. He advised students to compete to improve themselves, not with others.

He said that combining willpower with consistent action is the key to success. The Governor called upon the students to come out of their comfort zone and accept challenges and said that self-confidence is built only through hard work.
