Kendriya Vidyalaya ONGC celebrated the 79th Independence Day with zeal and patriotic fervour. The celebration began with the flag hoisting by Swadesh Bharti in the presence of the principal, staff members, students and parents. The cultural programme commenced with a speech by Siddhima of Class XI B, highlighting the significance of the day and the sacrifices of the freedom fighters. This was followed by the rendition of the Jhanda Geet.
Students of the secondary section presented a group song followed by a solo dance performance by Manjishta Auli, showcasing the joy of freedom through rhythm and movement. Recitation of patriotic poems was also a part of the commemorative programme. Among those who addressed the gathering was the principal of the institution.
