The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) secretary in-charge Ashok Kumar Pandey has stated that a video on alleged irregularities in the investigator cum computer and assistant statistical officer examination-2023 is baseless and false. In the video going viral on social media, it has been claimed that some candidates were selected despite not passing the computer operation exam or being absent.

The commission has clarified that according to the advertisement issued on February 7, 2024 and the corrigendum dated January 20, 2025, computer operation exams were held only for post codes 6, 8 and 9. The candidates who did not score the minimum required marks were not selected for these posts.

The candidates mentioned in the said video- Manoj Singh Dhami, Manoj Singh and Satyendra Singh were selected for posts of assistant statistical officer/assistant research officer, for which the computer exam was not required.

The commission warned that strict action will be taken against those spreading such disinformation. Pandey said that the video in question is an attempt to demoralise candidates and dent the image of the commission. He appealed to the public to not heed to rumours and to trust the official information shared by the commission.
