VC chairs meeting on NAAC and NIRF at KU

A meeting regarding IQAC and NIRF, chaired by the vice chancellor, Diwan Singh Rawat, was held during which the VC made several suggestions for improving the university’s ranking, research culture and quality. He emphasised the need for establishing an incubation centre, strengthening centralised research facilities, providing project opportunities for contract faculty, appointing permanent faculty and accelerating efforts for departmental accreditations such as DST-FIST and SAP. He also underlined that completing the ACUAR-25 with utmost care and accuracy is essential to ensure KU achieves excellent rankings in the proposed NAAC cycle in 2026.
At the end of the meeting, he stated that regular dialogue and ongoing monitoring with all committees would continue for the overall development of the university. The meeting reviewed the presentations under various criteria and critically evaluated the progress made on the recommendations previously made by the NAAC peer team.
The IQAC director, Santosh Kumar presented the revised framework of NAAC and the recommendations of the peer team and the status of data collected so far while the progress regarding NIRF ranking was presented by Prof Archana Negi Sah.
