Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the government is implementing several important schemes to boost the local economy and tourism in the State. He made this statement at a symposium on the ‘Meri Yojana’ (My Schemes) books prepared by the Programme Implementation department of Uttarakhand on Wednesday. During the event, he also launched the “Meri Yojana” portal for Uttarakhand (myscheme.gov.in).
CM stated that the three editions of this guidebook—”My Scheme,” “My Scheme – State Government,” and “My Scheme – Central Government”—allow every citizen of the State to easily access comprehensive information about all the schemes available from both the Central and State Governments, enabling them to benefit from these programmes. He emphasized that the government’s objective is to ensure effective implementation of the schemes and timely delivery of benefits to every eligible person in the State. These books not only provide detailed information about the schemes for beneficiaries but also inform applicants about the application process, necessary documents and eligibility criteria.
“The State government is also working tirelessly to address public concerns with the mantra of simplification, resolution, redressal and satisfaction. Arrangements have been made to ensure that funds from various pension schemes offered by the Social Welfare department are transferred directly to the accounts of every eligible individual through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT),” he stated.
He further noted that schemes designed for various sections of society are being effectively implemented in the State. While efforts are underway to develop modern infrastructure across key sectors—such as education, health, roads, and sports—initiatives like “Vocal for Local,” “Make in India,” and “Startup India” are also progressing rapidly toward realising the vision of a Viksit Bharat and a developed Uttarakhand. CM highlighted that local livelihood opportunities are expanding through the “One District, Two Products” scheme. Other initiatives, such as the “State Millet Mission” and the “Farm Machinery Bank,” are being launched to strengthen the State’s local economy, Dhami said.
He urged everyone to ensure that souvenirs presented at various events are made from locally produced products to promote local goods and support the livelihoods of the state’s residents.
Additionally, Cabinet minister Subodh Uniyal commended this effort to ensure that people benefit from government schemes. Through the unified portal, eligible individuals will be able to easily access the benefits of all government schemes.
Secretary of Programme Implementation, Deepak Kumar, stated that the main objective of the Programme Implementation department is to deliver schemes and services to beneficiaries in a straightforward manner. Through the three editions of “Meri Yojana,” both State and Central government schemes are being effectively disseminated to the public, he said.
