An earthquake measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale was reported at 11:47 AM in Bageshwar district on Sunday morning.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located near Karmi village in Kapkot Tehsil, at a depth of about 10 kilometres underground.
The tremors were very light and had no significant impact on daily life. Most people did not even notice the shaking and no panic or disruption was reported anywhere in the district.
Officials confirmed that the situation remained completely normal in Bageshwar town as well as in Garud, Kapkot and Kanda areas of the district.
