District administration acts on pension complaint

Acting on the directions of Dehradun district magistrate Savin Bansal, the Social Welfare department has addressed a demand for old-age pension benefits. According to officials, Arya Suman, a senior citizen from Dehrakhas in the Dehradun district, filed a complaint with the chief minister’s helpline regarding his wife, Urmila Suman, who was not receiving her old-age pension.
The district administration responded to this complaint, taking swift and effective action. Following the instructions of CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, every complaint received on the CM helpline is being treated with seriousness. In this instance, the Social Welfare department took immediate action in response to the DM directive and resolved the issue.
District social welfare officer Deepankar Ghildiyal stated that the complaint regarding old-age pension benefits was received from Arya Suman. The Revenue department prepared all the necessary documents, including a monthly income certificate and approved the old-age pension for Urmila Suman.
Councillor Alok Kumar, representing Dehrakhas ward thanked Dhami, DM and the officials involved for proactive response to public issues.
Urmila expressed her gratitude, noting that officials from the Social Welfare department visited their home in response to the swift action of the administration. They diligently reviewed all documents and obtained an income certificate at home through the “Apni Sarkar” portal. After completing all necessary formalities, the pension approval process was expedited. Within just four days of filing their complaint, the District social welfare officer informed them that their old-age pension had been approved and that payments would begin soon.
