As part of the preparations for the three-tier Panchayat elections, the second randomisation of polling personnel was conducted on Monday in the presence of the Bageshwar district magistrate, Ashish Bhatgain.
A total of 508 polling teams, including reserve teams, consisting of 2540 polling personnel, were formed for the 461 polling booths of the district. One presiding officer and four polling officers have been appointed for each of the polling teams. To encourage women participation in the rural polls, women polling personnel have been appointed, too.
The DM said that the randomisation process had been conducted with complete transparency through software, adding that the second phase of training of the presiding and other polling officers would be held between July 17 and 19.
