5-day Tehri Acro Fest concludes

In latest news from Uttarakhand, the first five-day Tehri Acro Festival, organised by Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB) in Tehri Lake, concluded on Tuesday with the presentation of pahadi folk tunes by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police band. Senior UTDB officers said that the event featured 178 paragliders from 27 countries, including 40 male and 14 female international paragliders, along with 124 Indian paragliders. The festival also showcased three competitive events, offering a total prize pool of approximately Rs 10 lakhs. Besides, several paragliding events, including Solo Flights, Solo Acrobatic Flights, Solo Synchro Flights, Wingsuit Jumps and D-Bag Shows, were held during the festival. The additional CEO (Adventure) Colonel Ashvini Pundir presented the prizes and said that Uttarakhand is all set to carve a place on the international adventure tourism map through organising more such international events.
