The police are yet to arrest the man who allegedly beat his two- year- old daughter to death. The officials said that a woman registered a complaint in the Patelnagar police station stating that her husband is an army personnel who had come home about four weeks ago.
The complainant lived in a rented house in the Banjarawala area and according to her, the accused often used to beat her and her two-year-old daughter after getting drunk, the officials said. They informed that as per the complainant, the accused Anand Singh severely beat their daughter after getting heavily drunk on the night of January 10.
The child’s condition deteriorated after which the mother took her to a hospital but she died during treatment on January 13. After this, the officials said that the accused also allegedly tried to choke his wife to death on January 15 as per the complainant’s statement. They said that the police have registered the complaint against the accused under relevant sections. The police started the investigation and interrogated his family members on Friday too. He will be nabbed soon, they added.
