Recruitment to 4,405 posts in 11 departments to start this month

In a major boost to facilitating government jobs, the State government is going to undertake recruitments to 4,405 Group C posts in 11 departments. The Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UkSSSC) has decided to release the schedule for the process starting with applications from September 15. The State government under chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has so far recruited successful candidates to more than 16,000 government jobs, officials said.
Along with other aspects, the Dhami government has been focusing on providing government jobs especially to the youth of the State. It has appointed more than 16,000 youth to government jobs in various departments in a period of three years. Officials state that this is the highest figure of youth securing government jobs during the tenure of any government in the State in the 23 years since creation of Uttarakhand. The CM himself has presided over functions for handing over appointment letters to the successful candidates in order to ensure transparency in service. At the same time, the government is involved in the process of facilitating further appointments through UKSSSC, Uttarakhand Public Service Commission, Medical Service Selection Board and other bodies. The recruitment process is currently underway for several positions of police sub inspectors and teachers. Dhami has directed officials to ensure that recruitments are made in a time-bound and transparent manner to posts for which the requisition was approved by the UKSSSC. The commission’s chairman GS Martolia informed that requisition for recruitments to 4,405 posts in 11 departments has been approved. The commission has completed its preparations for the recruitment process to these positions. The process of application will be started on September 15. The schedule of the examination and declaration of the result will also be declared shortly. He further said that the recruitments facilitated by the commission have been conducted in a record time. The UKSSSC aims to ensure that the process from conduct of the exam to declaration of the results is concluded on time. The authorities will continue to facilitate recruitments with transparency and on time, he added.
The positions for which the recruitments will start from September 15 include 2,000 posts of police constables, 2,000 posts of forest guards, 1,200 posts of supervisors and other positions including junior assistant, revenue assistant, mate, scientific assistant, assistant development officer, driver, library, primary teacher (ST) and positions for various trades in it is.
The CM said, “A record number of youth have been provided government jobs since Uttarakhand was created. Our government has introduced the nation’s strictest anti-copying law. Earlier, the criminal elements used to deal in jobs due to which members of a single family would get four government jobs. However, we are committed to not spare anyone who plays with the interests and future of the State’s youth.”
