A new branch of the Uttarakhand State Cooperative Bank Limited came up on Ambiwala Gurudwara Road in Upper Nathanpur here on Friday. Inaugurating the new office, the chairman of the bank C M Semwal said that they had selected this place to house the branch in response to the banking needs of the people living in Badrish Colony and Rajiv Nagar, adding that the branch was equipped with all facilities and fully computerised.
The chief executive officer of the bank S S Rana said that this was its fourth branch and added that his bank would open a new branch in Garhwal region every year. Notably, the bank came up on May 18, 2000.
