A case of alleged land fraud worth Rs 3.75 crore has come to light in Dehradun. Pankaj Bahl, a resident of New Vasant Vihar Enclave, has filed a complaint with the Dehradun senior superintendent of police against his relative, Manish Bajaj and his wife, Gaurika Bajaj.

As per the complaint, Manish convinced Pankaj to invest Rs 3.75 crore in a land deal at Raiwala. The complainant said that he had trusted Manish because they were relatives. However, only five bighas of land were registered in his name and he was not given possession of the property. He also alleged that part of the land was already occupied by another person.

The complaint states that Manish later signed a settlement agreement admitting that he had received Rs 3.75 crore from the complainant and promised to return the money in two instalments. The first payment of Rs 75 lakh was to be made by March 22, while the remaining Rs three crore was to be paid by September 22. The complainant alleged that no payment had been made.

Pankaj further alleged that Manish and his wife had cheated him by using forged documents. He also claimed that they threatened to implicate him in false cases and issued death threats when he demanded his money back. The Raiwala police have registered the complaint and started investigation in the case.
