A petrol pump manager and his wife have been accused of allegedly misappropriating Rs 29.26 lakh from a petrol pump on Sahastradhara Road in Dehradun by manipulating sales records and digital payment accounts. The complaint was filed by the petrol pump owner Himanshu Arora.
As per the complaint filed on Friday, the manager Ankush Pal had been preparing daily sales and payment records for petrol and diesel for several years. The complaint further alleged that the accused manipulated payment transactions during the following five months. Pal allegedly showed incorrect Paytm sales figures and withdrew Rs 18.13 lakh in cash. Another Rs 62,535 was allegedly withdrawn through PhonePe from Pinki’s cash account. The complainant also alleged that the accused stopped responding when questioned about the accounts.
