Weather warning issued for mountains, cloudy skies & light rain to bring some relief in Doon

Even as Dehradun witnessed normal maximum temperature after some days on Tuesday, the State Meteorological Centre has forecast some temporary relief on Wednesday. Light to moderate rain/thunderstorms/snowfall (at 4,000 metres and above altitudes) is likely to occur at many places in all districts today. The centre has issued an orange warning regarding the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning/hail/ intense to very intense spells of rain/ gusty winds (40-50 kmph) likely to occur at isolated places in Nainital, Dehradun, Tehri, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts. A yellow warning has been issued regarding the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning/intense to very intense spells of rain/gusty winds (40-50 kmph) likely to occur at isolated places in remaining mountain districts. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning/gusty winds (40-50 kmph) are likely to occur at isolated places over Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar districts.
Dehradun is forecast to witness a partly cloudy to generally cloudy sky. Very light to light rain/thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty wind (40-50 kmph) are likely to occur. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 35 degrees Celsius and 21 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
