Badrinath master plan work reaches final stage: PWD

The execution of the master plan for Badrinath Dham has now reached its final stage, said the officials of the Public Works Department. The construction work is being carried out at a cost of Rs 440 crore for the development of traffic, pedestrian movement of pilgrims, parking and sewer disposal facilities, street lighting, streamlining of commercial establishments and protection of river banks as well as security of the shrine. 

The officers further said that things are moving fast and they are confident that all the works, included in the master plan, would be completed soon.

Notably, the construction work of phase I of Badrinath Dham Master Plan has been completed.

The executive engineer, Badrinath Dham, PWD, Yogesh Manral said that the master plan for the shrine to adorn it with all facilities for pilgrims   was being executed under the direction of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. “Construction is being done in two parts – Phase I and II. Of which, till date, under Phase I, the construction work of one-way loop road, BRO bypass road, civic amenity building, Sheshnetra Lake, Badrish Lake, ISBT building, tourist management centre building and arrival plaza has been completed while the work of hospital extension is in the final stage,” he added.
