BJP says State government will recover all funds from fraud cases, dismisses Congress’ concerns

The Bharatiya Janata Party stated that the Uttarakhand government is taking strict and transparent action in all fraud cases and that opposition leaders need not create unnecessary concerns. The party said the government will recover every penny from those involved in fraud and return it to the public.

Responding to media’s questions regarding Congress’ allegations that fraud cases are increasing across the States, BJP’s State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan said that the opposition is frustrated by the government’s work and development in the State under chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.

He claimed that Congress leaders continue to make baseless claims without presenting evidence or approaching courts. He accused the party of avoiding accountability while the government takes action even against major offenders. Addressing fraud allegations, Chauhan said that Congress is focussed on politics while the government is taking action.

He added that law enforcement is handling the matter and assured that every guilty person, regardless of their position, will face strict punishment. Chauhan emphasised that public funds lost to fraud will be fully recovered and the opposition’s concerns are unnecessary.
